By the end of this guide, you'll know exactly where every per-account setting lives, how to change it, and what's safe vs. one-way.
What you'll need
- A Cabintale account
- ~3 minutes
- Your name, language, and password where you want them
- A clear path to close your account if you ever need it
Step 1: Open Settings
Sidebar → Settings. The page header reads "Settings" (or "Nastavení" in Czech) with the description "Manage your account settings and preferences."
The Account section
Top of the page. You can edit:
Name
Your account's name. Used internally — not shown to guests. Type, click Save settings at the top.
Your account email is shown for reference. This is also where new-booking notifications are sent.
Email is not self-service today. A small hint reads "Wanna change e-mail? Contact us" — and that's the truth. We change it manually for you. Email us with your old email and the new one; we'll switch it.
The reason: changing email touches authentication, password reset flows, and notifications all at once. We'd rather not break any of those by accident.
Language
The language of your admin dashboard. Pick from the dropdown, click Save settings. The page reloads in the new language.
Reminder. English and Czech are fully translated. Other languages are partial — the widget side is translated, but admin pages may still show some English. Picking, say, Deutsch gives you a working but incomplete admin experience. See Languages and currencies for the full picture.
Password reset
Below the email and language is "Do you want to change password?" with a Password reset button. Clicking it doesn't change your password in-page. Instead:
- A confirmation modal asks "Are you sure you want to reset your password? You will receive an email with instructions."
- Click Reset Password.
- You receive an email with a reset link. Open it, pick a new password.
This is the standard "forgot password" flow, just initiated from your own settings.
The Close account section
Below Account is Close account. The description is uncompromising:
"Once you delete your account, there is no going back. Please be certain. All your data, including places, bookings, and widgets will be permanently deleted."
Clicking Close account opens a final confirmation modal asking "Are you absolutely sure?". Confirm and:
- Your account is closed.
- Your places, services, widgets, bookings, customers, payment gateways, and iCal connections are all permanently deleted.
- There's no undo. No 30-day grace period. Gone.
If you're closing because something specific isn't working — write to us first. We'd rather fix it than lose you.
Sending feedback
Sidebar → Feedback (separate from Settings). The form has:
- Type — Feature request or Report a bug.
- Email — your account email by default; change if you want replies elsewhere.
- Message — describe what you want or what broke.
Click Send feedback (or Send bug report). You'll see a thank-you message; we read every one.
For a fast back-and-forth — especially for an actual problem stopping you from working — emailing us directly tends to be quicker than the form.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| I changed my language but the dashboard is still in English | Save didn't go through, or the page didn't reload | Click Save settings; if needed, hard-refresh the page |
| I can't change my email myself | Email change is intentionally manual | Email us with your old and new email — we'll swap it for you |
| I clicked Reset password but no email arrived | The reset link is sent through Postmark; check your spam folder | Wait a minute, check spam, then re-try. If nothing arrives, contact support |
| I closed my account and now want it back | Closure is permanent — there's no recovery | Sign up again with the same email; your old data is not recoverable |
| Some text in the dashboard is in the wrong language | The language you picked has partial admin coverage | Switch to English or Czech for full coverage; see Languages and currencies |
